This is my story

I was blessed to be raised by loving parents who instilled in me the ethos of living in harmony with the planet. After earning my Bachelor’s in Industrial Design at Pratt Institute, I traveled the world and returned to the U.S. to join Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona. There, I founded the green building program, establishing the affiliate as the largest builder of LEED homes in Arizona, constructing the first LEED Platinum Habitat home in the US, and building a net-zero energy home in four days for USGBC's GreenBuild Legacy Project.

After a short stint with Energy Inspectors, I moved back to the East Coast and joined The Cadmus Group in Arlington, managing the EPA Indoor airPLUS program and facilitating high-level meetings with federal and NGO leaders. Following this, I pursued a Master of Environmental Management at Yale University, where I won the Sustainability Award for helping implement the carbon charge on campus buildings, learning what it truly takes to achieve sustainable buildings within planetary boundaries.

Post-Yale, I advanced to MaGrann Associates, a leader in sustainable multi-family buildings, in Washington DC. I progressed from Regional Manager to Vice President of Business Development, working on award-winning projects, including the first net-zero energy multifamily home in the National Capital Region, and leading MEP engineering, sustainability consulting, and building performance services.

In 2022, I joined Juno Residential, a start-up focused on pre-fabricated mass timber apartments, serving first as Senior Sustainability Manager and then as Director of Sustainability. I created a best-in-class sustainability program for apartment design and advocated for federal grants and funding.

Most recently, as Director of Buildings at GreenBiz Group, I grew our audience with global companies in the building sector, authored newsletters, curated conference sessions, and built strategic partnerships. I also conceived and convened the inaugural Building Product Forum at Circularity, the top circular economy conference in North America.

In addition to my professional work, I am the Chair of the Net-Zero Energy Coalition: National Capital Region, and I support the local community by engaging in creative events. This includes an exhibit called The Beauty of Zero, which envisions a Net-Zero Energy future for the National Capital Region.

Driven by a passion for sustainable building practices, I am committed to creating a greener future. Feel free to explore my work and reach out if you’re interested in collaborating to make our built environment more sustainable.
